Innovative Dallas/Fort Worth Area New Attractions Pass Expands Just In Time for Last Minute Weekend Trips
Dallas/Fort Worth, TX – July 2010 – As summer begins to wind down and tourists looks for fun weekend trips to take before school starts, DFW has expanded its new attractions pass. The Dallas/Fort Worth & Beyond Attractions Pass allows both visitors and locals a great way to enjoy some of the region’s best attractions in an attractive value-based package. Offered by the Dallas/Fort Worth Area Tourism Council (DFWATC), the pass offers savings of up to 30% to various attractions in the area.
In addition to 2 and 3-day passes, 1-day and annual passes are now available. The pass includes admission to seven different area attractions, as well as the opportunity to purchase discounted tickets to other area attractions. The seven participating attractions in the pass include the Dallas Museum of Art, the Dallas Zoo, the Fort Worth Stockyards Experience, the International Bowling Museum & Hall of Fame, The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, the Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza and Southfork Ranch.
On the DFWandBeyond.com/save site, consumers may also purchase discounted tickets to the Grapevine Vintage Railroad, Louis Tussaud’s Palace of Wax/Ripley’s Believe it or Not! and the National Scouting Museum and have those tickets included in their pass before printing. In addition, there are several value-added items that are included in the program, including special offers at Galleria Dallas, Gondola Adventures at Las Colinas in Irving, Grapevine Mills, Irving Mall, NorthPark Center in Dallas and Sundance Square in Fort Worth.
Prices for the 1-day pass are $25 for adults, $23 for seniors and $18 for children, and prices for the 2-day pass are $38 for adults, $32 for seniors and $24 for children. The 3-day pass price is $59 for adults, $49 for seniors and $29 for children. The annual pass sells for $65 for adults, $55 for seniors and $32 for children. Admission to all seven attractions is included in the pass, and visitors choose which attractions to attend and when to attend. The pass is activated for its time period once it is scanned at the first attraction where it is used.
Months of research were conducted in development of the pass, which included a national survey completed by over 3,000 respondents and identified what attractions visitors would find most interesting for a bundled pass program. The Attractions Pass packages together a mixture of culture, western heritage, and family fun to include all of the types of attractions that respondents said they wanted.
The Dallas/Fort Worth & Beyond Attractions Pass can be purchased through the Council’s web site at DFWandBeyond.com/save.
