LOCAL HILTON HOTELS DRUM UP SCHOOL SPIRIT, DONATIONS AND FREE BREAKFAST FOR BACK-TO-SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE ON FRIDAY, JULY 23
“Drive In & Drop Off” school supply drive to benefit Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County
Special Visit from Lewis the Duck and Coupons for Complimentary Starbucks Coffee
WHAT: The Homewood Suites by Hilton® Plano/Richardson and the Hilton Garden Inn Dallas/Richardson will go head-to-head in a competition for the most donated school supply donations during the First Annual “Drive In & Drop Off” Back-to-School Supply Drive on Friday, July 23 (see attached school supply wish list). Both hotels – owned and managed by Carrollton-based Magnolia Lodging, LLC – will provide complimentary Grab-n-Go portable breakfasts in exchange for donated school supplies. Held from 7 – 9 a.m., the event seeks to attract both locals and hotel guests on their way to work; the drive-in-and-drop off set-up allows visitors to both drop off their donations and grab breakfast without having to leave their cars.
All donations will go to the Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County for distribution during the organization’s annual Back to School Fair on Sunday, Aug. 1. Since 1992, the Children’s Advocacy Center has helped over 33,000 abused and neglected children and works to continually provide safety, healing and justice to children victimized by abuse or neglect.
The Homewood Suites will treat visitors to a special appearance by hotel mascot Lewis the Duck, while visitors to the Hilton Garden Inn will each receive coupons for a complimentary Starbucks coffee. All donors who participate in the supply drive will receive breakfast and hotel goody bag.
The hotels are competing for the most donations, with the winning hotel slated to receive a special summer surprise.

About the Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County
The Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County opened in 1992 and has since served over 33,000 children. The mission of the Children's Advocacy Center of Collin County is to provide safety, healing and justice to children victimized by abuse or neglect.
